This project was sponsored project by JD Group (Taiwan). The theme was to create new LEV, Light Electric Vehicle, focused on mass market in the U.S.
In that market, Segway seems to have strong brand and position, but in fact, they are only accepted in niche market. they are mostly sold to some security or official purpose, and sightseeing tour use.
So I started this project from thinking what is the LEV people really need. The hint was baby stroller which is all people use at least once in their lives. If it was more family friendly and motorized, it could help their lives happier and easier.
