Starting with an input of satellites and an output of galactic scale, Temporal Ruptures In the Googlesphere investigates time in Google Maps, Google Earth and Google Street View. It also speculates as to the potential of sound in Google Street View.
• Is everything directly under the sun public display?
• If the images on Google Earth are relatively current... how can the delay alter a space?
• What does a space sound like when defined by the boarders of our browser?
• How can a soundscape (mis)represent the landscape?
This project revealed my interested in the how linear and non-linear medias coexist, creating an almost real-time" interactive space as well as what the implications of this multi-linear experience could be.
