Oliver Lo is a graphic design student at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, where he is studying print, packaging and transmedia design. Prior to becoming a designer, he spent nearly a decade shaping young minds as an elementary school teacher. Drawing from his experience as an educator, Oliver approaches design challenges as opportunities to inform, inspire and influence change. In his design practice, he has found that the most successful solutions emerge from human-centered research and an evaluative and iterative design process. He also enjoys the meticulous work of creating hand-drawn type which often results in unexpected, one-of-a-kind typographic solutions. When not filling his sketchbook with letterforms, he can be found frequenting local Asian eateries, playing ultimate frisbee with friends or poring over science fiction and mystery novels.
